On 30 September 2012 and after 45 years in the profession our senior partner, Paul Wershof, retired as a partner of Wiseman Lee LLP. We are pleased to confirm that Paul will remain as a consultant of the firm.
Paul joined the firm (formerly Wiseman Greenman and Lee) in 1974 and qualified as a solicitor in1975. On the retirement of Malcolm Lee as a partner in 1991, Paul succeeded him as head of our Litigation & Dispute Resolution department. He has been the firm’s senior partner since 2004.
Paul’s younger brother, David Wershof, who joined the firm shortly afterwards in 1976 becoming a partner in 1978, succeeds Paul as senior partner from 1 October.
David heads the non-contentious department at our Wanstead office working alongside his partner Derek Inkpin and dealing with commercial property matters, sales, purchases and developments, business sales and acquisitions, and all assisted by an able team of solicitors, executives and support staff.
“I’m looking forward to my role as senior partner and taking the firm into its 60th year since it was founded by Cyril Wiseman in 1953. The firm has come a long way since those early days and we now offer a wide and comprehensive range of services to our existing and new clients. This recession, coupled with the attack on the profession and cuts in Legal Aid, has proved a challenge and has seen a lot of casualties. However, I am confident that, with the talented people we have at Wiseman Lee, we will continue to provide professional advice and services for the next 60 years“. David Wershof October 2012
