When relationships break down it’s an emotional and difficult time for everyone involved.

Supporting you through it as we help find the right solutions for you and your family is a key part of our role.

Whether you need assistance working out an agreement with your former partner or a solicitor to represent you through court proceedings, we can help.

The dispute might be with a former partner or with a local authority. Our divorce & family solicitors in London are skilled at sorting out ancillary relief issues over money, pensions, property and, of course, children, which could involve contact and residence orders. They are also very experienced at dealing with the fall-out when an unmarried, co-habiting couple goes their separate ways.

Whether you’re married or in a civil partnership, if your relationship has broken down we are able to advise you about separation agreements and divorce. We can also provide advice on pre- and post-nuptial agreements and on non-molestation or occupation orders and injunctions where there has been domestic violence.

It is now more common for couples to co-habit without marrying and we are very experienced at providing advice on co-habitation agreements and drawing up relevant trust deeds in connection with jointly owned properties and assets in order to safeguard your interests. In the unfortunate event that your relationship should come to an end, then we can help you obtain any necessary court orders in connection with property, finances and children.

All members of our Family department are committed to seeking negotiated solutions wherever possible without in any way compromising your position.

Jonathan Diamond, the partner leading the team is an Advanced Family Law Panel member as well as an accredited family law specialist with Resolution, the national organization of lawyers committed to a non-confrontational approach to divorce, separation and other family problems. He has also been appointed as both a children representative and an adult party representative under the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme.

Jonathan Diamond is a High Court Solicitor-Advocate who is qualified to represent his clients as advocate in family and civil law proceedings in the Higher Courts.  This used to be the preserve of barristers.  A relatively small number of solicitors have obtained this prestigious qualification.  This means that he can now appear in all courts including the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court and has the same rights of audience as a barrister practicing civil law.
