Julie's expertise is handling claims for catastrophic injury, such as brain damage, caused by clinical negligence or accidents at work or on the road. Working both in the courts and through mediation to win settlements at every financial level, Julie's particular specialisms are anaesthetic and obstetric negligence and industrial diseases.
With 20 years experience, she understands that it can be just as important for clients to get answers, win an apology or try to make sure that whatever happened to them or their loved one cannot happen again. That makes helping people through the NHS complaints process a key part of her work.
Julie believes in supporting injured clients and bereaved relatives emotionally and practically, not just through the claim and litigation process, but through the other challenges too: the inquest, accessing and correcting medical records, rehabilitation, getting cars and accommodation adapted, investing personal injury awards and so on.
A Citizens Advice Bureau volunteer, Julie enjoys skiing, fencing and swimming and is a passionate fan of theatre and film.
